Happy Winter and Happy Holidays to all my Hug Bug friends!

It has been a busy and interesting year! I love performing live, in-person shows, but with Covid restrictions, I have been mainly performing online concerts and teacher’s workshops through Zoom. This has been a wonderful way to keep in touch with my friends and fans. I hope that you are continuing to sing, dance and play music with your family and buddies. This is such an important way for us to stay connected.

Dust off your maracas, shakers and sleigh bells, and let’s sing songs like “Feliz Navidad”, “Silver Bells”, Zulu Carol”, and “Bonjour l’hiver (Hello Winter)”!

I also love singing “I am a Pizza” (“Je suis une pizza” and “Soy una Pizza”). Write your own songs with the same melody, like, “I am a Bubble”, “I am a Snowflake”, “I am a Polar Bear”, “I am a Penguin”.

Although we had too many rain days and wind storms with serious flooding in southern British Columbia and Washington State this fall, there is now snow on our mountains and Winter is on the way! Everyone is working together to clear the roads of mud and water, rescue the stranded farm animals and help those families who lost their barns, homes and belongings. My song, “Leave the World a Little Better” reminds us to reach out to others in need and help in anyway we can.

Collect old keys and put them on a shower curtain ring to make your own sleigh bells. When you jingle them, they make a magical sound like snowflakes falling!

Although, you may not live near the snowy mountains, you can enjoy walking in the frosty air. I love Winter! J’aime l’hiver! Let’s go outside!
