A MUSICAL WORKSHOP WITH CHARLOTTE DIAMOND
The Joy of Singing and Playing Music Inspires a Love of Language, Self -Expression and Creativity
Through her “easy to follow” P.R.I.Z.E. Method, (The use of Props and Puppets, Rhythm and Movement, Imagination, Zipper Songs and Echo Songs), Charlotte inspires educators to take full advantage of songs and rhythmic stories for the development of language, creativity, social and communication skills. Her techniques capture the interest of children with delayed language and speech development. She will demonstrate how to effectively use our voices to help the children maintain focus.
Few activities use more of the brain than singing, playing music and moving rhythmically. Adding verses and playing with rhymes develop verbal flexibility. Singing together builds a sense of unity, connection, and cooperation where children feel included and free to speak or sing their own ideas. Charlotte will introduce her new Picture Book, “Charlotte Diamond’s Animal Friends” with thirteen of her best known Animal themed songs. For the theme RECONNECTION, Charlotte will be presenting her song, “Connected.”
Some French and Sign Language included.
